The event is linked to an international educational project financed by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme 2016-2018. Pupils and teachers from 7 different countries have been involved in geocaching activities connected to education and school subjects for the past 2 years:
- France: BOLLENE – Lycée Lucie Aubrac
- Greece: THESSALONIKI – Senior High School of Intercultural Education of Evosmos (GENIKO LYKEIO DIAPOLITISMIKIS EKPAIDEFSIS EVOSMOU)
- Italy: NOVARA – Istituto Professionale di Stato “Giuseppe Ravizza”
- Lithuania: VILNIUS – Vilniaus Juzefo Ignacijaus Krasevskio gimnazija
- Poland: KIELCE – Zespół Szkół Ponadgimnazjalnych nr 2 im. J. Piłsudskiego – ZSPg nr 2 w Kielcach
- Portugal: SINTRA – Escola Básica e Secundária, Mestre Domingos Saraiva – Agrupamento Escolas do Algueirão (171591)
- Spain: LOJA (to the West of Granada) – IES Moraima
The Erasmus+ Day event will be held on the same day in all our schools in order to promote Geocaching in our local communities.
